how much should i pay for a b16a with more than 100K on it (mileage not actually known, could be more than 200K)
it has headers wrapped and no dizzy

 

Over 100K...i would say go find another deal...unless you get a really good steal on it...

 

$400 tops

 

i would give 300 for it because you do not know the history of the motor.

 

You can find them from importers for $600 (just the long block) and they usually sy less than 30K...so yea I'd say somewhere around $300-400 but I'd find another motor...

new development.... he wants 750 just for the long block it has 50K on it with gsr cams new water pump timeing belt and intake gasket and says the valvetrain is wicked clean that all it needs is a dizzy he wants 900 for everything pistons tranny and others.... help please

900 with tranny isnt bad, but for a b16a, 500ish would be fair. Esp since a dissy is probally going to be 100+

 

just buy it.


if it needs some work, buy an engine stand and start wrenching.
