My car keeps getting broken into......SOS!!!
I have a 97 honda accord and it keeps getting broken into. 4 times in the last 7 months. Every time its been through the driver side glass, by lifting the window out, up and out of its tracks, one time they broke the glass. No Tinted windows, I dont leave the face on the radio, I have one alarm light under the dash that is only visible at night looking in through the passenger side, the average under the hood upgrades(nothing too fancy), 18 in Motegi wheels on pirelli(not the Bling Bling chrome). Not lowered. In my opinion overall, my car just looks... clean. Not at all extravagant or Riced out. All they keep doing is tearing up my ignition and tearing up my alarm cables, with all the luck in the world they havent been able to override the alarm, so havent been able to take it. Is there a way to make them skip my car? Is there a chance of stopping these S.O.B's from costing me all this money? SOS...SOS...SOS!!!!!
this is what you do, get a LED security peice from a CL up to year 1999(part of the Door lock plastic peice and install it the top of your panel, have it blink using your current led......either that or get a freaking land mine and have it go off when they open the door
One good way would be to take a taser gun and have the 2 prongs from the taser come under the door handle and have the handle hooked to the trigger. Hense they pull the door handle and get the living crap shocked out of them!!
They broke into my car the same way the other day as well! They pryed the window out of the tracks and opened the door lock. My alarm went off, so they ran away. The car was fogged up, so they couldnt see the security LED. I realize that mine is dim.
Where can I get a super bright LED? I saw someone with a blue one that lit the entire car everytime it blinked. I want a bright red one like that too.

i say you get a Two Way allarm there between 150-250 installed when your alarm goes off your two way key chain beeps letting you know and get a 357 mag not to big but not to small so when it does go off just point aim and pull! *BOOM* one less person to worry about. lol okay i over did it a bit.

If you want to prevent the damage, don't lock the doors, as you can see it does not prevent them from getting into the car, as long as the doors are wired to the alarm, the alarm will go off as soon as the door is opened, most crooks will try the door first, [to see if it is unlocked] it will be, and it will open, triggering the alarm, otherwise they just pull the window, if they can do that without triggering the alarm, they can climb in through the window and get under the dash and start "tearing up alarm cables" before the alarm goes off, disable alarm.
I have a top of the line, [in it's day] Alpine Alarm, with all the goodies with a few redundant kill switches, my doors lock and unlock when I arm and disarm the alarm, but I also have my door locks connected to one of the alarms EXT outputs, so I can unlock the doors after I arm the alarm, this has saved my car from damaged on at least 3 occasions, I have not lost anything more the parking meter change and one time the ashtray I keep it in.
I am a firm believer in the adage "locked doors only keep honest people out".

good info^^
I would also suggest something very obvious on the outside so they can't take it away. I know it is a lot of work but maybe taking a couple wheels off and have it on cinderblocks?? or maybe get a quick release steering wheel? just something that makes them say expletive that and move on.

Hi guys,
As for the LED, hit up walmart and head to the automotive section. Be sure to bypass almost everything they sell, but they do sell super bright white/blue/red, all wired up for 12V. About $11.

A led light is still not going to stop them from going into his car. If this was the case alot of people on here would still have there cars. Hell the theives probably seen it anyways and still went into his car. Keep your alarm system up to par because it seems to do the job keeping your car there. There is no really good answer to tell you. If you are tired of the broken window take fcm advice. Or try to find a garage to put your car into. No matter what we do to keep your door from opening there allways the old school way of breaking the window and hopping in.

Place the motion sensor inside your car. Place the receiver in your room. Once the motion sensor goes off, the receiver will start beeping (like some stores when you enter the door). Then go outside and yell to scare them off, or you can call the police, etc.
Keep in mind this will only work if the car is parked close to your house. If the receiver is too far from the motion sensor, then of course it won't work.

Thanx you all for the 411 and different opinions on my topic, very helpful. Ive decided to get a bright L.E.D from walmrt, a kill switch, window sensors, add the two way alarm so when it beeps, I can snipe these punks from my third floor balcony.......OORRAH!!
DEI... http://www.directed.com/ makes both "Tilt", [motion] and proximity, [radar] sensors.
