By that I mean coilovers, springs, shocks, strut tower bars, whatever.

I used to have a 22mm ITR bar in the rear and no front bar, and to be honest, the car was hard as hell to drive and not very fun. So I took it off and now Im running no sway bars and to be honest it's a lot better, I feel like I have more control of the car.

So who else has no sway bars? I'm thinking that if I go with the ITR swaybar again I will put a GSR bar up front in order to keep the car balanced.

it will depend on what spring rates you have. "built" doesn't mean much when it comes to suspension, and strut tower bars and all those braces are pretty much useless for your car anyhow.

There are those who advocate running no front bar, and some who swear the car will handle better with a front bar, and some who run with no front and no rear bars at all. How successful the car is depends on how comfortable the driver is when he's driving it, so whatever works for you is important. It doesn't hurt to experiment.

Mostly I was just wondering if I am going to be at a huge disadvantage with no front and rear bar as opposed to with swaybars. I havent tried having a front and rear bar but for now I can tell you I like how this feels

Theoretically, swaybars will help (to a degree). Since Civics and Integra drivers are constantly fighting understeer, a larger rear bar is a quick, easy, cheap and effective way to counter this by increasing rear roll resistance and help the car rotate.

IMO swaybars are to be considered a tuning device, more so than a replacement for proper spring rates. How much of an advantage you gain from running swaybrs (or disadvantage from not running them) will depend on a host of other things, not the least of which spring rates and driver skill.

If you have a 22mm rear bar, you should have a 18 - 24 mm front bar. Running the same diameter front/rear swaybars I've found works really well on the street. Running 22mm rear and no front is a horrible idea even on the race track. Get like a GSR or Si front swaybar and then get a Progress rear adjustable bar. Then depending on what springs you have, you can adjust the rear bar so it's not too loose. I have mine set to the medium/soft side of the adjustment.

Understeer sucks. Oversteer sucks. People have this stupid idea that oversteer is desirable. Go spin the car out on an offrap or start fishtailing on every lane change and tell me how cool oversteer is. Oversteer <> good handling. Street + oversteer = !@#$%^&*()_+

"Fully built" to me would mean a lot of custom replacement parts, not bolt ons. I doubt there is more than 2 or 3 people on these forums that have a suspension setup that would impress me.

I'm running no sway bars on the street with Koni/GC suspension (450 front & 400 rear rates). Its fine for street driving. I hook up the rear 22mm bar when at the track or AutoX. It oversteers, but not excessively IMO, it depends on shock settings and driving style. I can get the rear to swing way out if I want (and sometimes when I don't want). Thats the reason I don't run it like that on the street. 1) I don't drive fast enough for it make a difference on the street anyway. 2) Its safer w/o the bar hooked up IMO.

If I keep the car I'll eventually run with a smallish front sway just to see how it is.
