Default Clicking when cranking to start

Car is a 94 accord. Whenever i go to crank it over to start it, it clicks several times and then starts. I have to turn it into the on position and then off again several times. It clicks everytime i do this and then starts. Anyone know what this could be?

you might not have enough juice

you might have a loost terminal

you might have a dying starter

While starting the car w/ it clicking, have an assistant bang on the starter with a hammer and some sort of punch. If it starts right up, it's your starter.

But most of the time, if it just clicks real fast, it's a battery issue..

sounds like a dying starter. if its a new battery, and you have power at all when you go to start the car, then its the starter.

replace the starter contacts, about $10 for the parts.
Most of the 'autoelectric' shops stock the contacts.
So simple a Caveman can do it.
