everyone wants 70 + dollars to weld a fitting!

 

That's because it's not just welding it requires fitment and prep work. Plus if you're a fabricator and you're in the middle of a job and somebody wants you to stop and weld something expect a 70.00 minimum

 

$70 is plenty fair if they do a good job.

Try to find a place that does aluminum work not related to automotive stuff.

I got a tranny case welded a local place that does fences or something. He charged me $20.


The aluminum thread around the end plug on the tranny were broken that a friend had bought. That guy did good work and the plug threaded in perfect after he was done.
