I just got a new spoiler for my 00 civic, and was wondering if I should change the trunk springs before installing? Maybe to something lighter so it doesnt shatter when closing? Or should I not even bother? Thanks

Idk, thats why i'm asking. I've never had a wing on a car before, and a friend of mine suggested changing them, but said it was up to me, so I just want to be sure.

 

I didnt change mine
Just support it a little instead of letting it drop on its own
Doesnt take much to close the deck
