92' Prelude S with Apexi Dunk
I have a 92" S prelude and i have pacesetter cat back exhaust. It is annoying, high pitched, and seems to break up over 4,000 RPM. I was wondering how Apex Dunk muffler would do if i welded it up to the pacesetter piping. And does anyone have any pictures of a Dunk exhaust on there car.
Before my 95 VTEC I had a 93 S with a APEXi Dunk full catback. You might still be able to find them through preludeparts.com or optauto.com for around $350. They are now discontinued for whatever reason so they are pretty hard to find. I actually just swapped it onto the 95 and in both cars the Dunk sounds great. People always say how nice and throaty it sounds rather than that "annoying, high pitched" sound that is common among cheaper exhausts and the 1.6l and 1.8l motors. You might actually like the N1 exhaust better as it is lighter in weight and I believe it is a little less restrictive, but seeing as you just want to weld it to your Pacesetter piping that might not matter. I hope that this helps.
Don't waste your time. I called all the APEXI dealers on their web site. No one has one for a N/A motor. I have one for a F/I motor (3"inlet). I'm sending it back to the place I bought it from. They charged 240 w/shipping. If you want it IM me quick. Oh does anyone reeccomend a good universal muffler w/ a throaty sound and look semi that of the dunk? (I'm getting 2.5: custom pipes)
Thanks!
Thanks!
I have a full apex dunk exhaust on my 93 lude. it's deep and you can really hear it when you crack down on it. I'm interested in selling it if anyone is interested.
