Snap-on Brake line wrench, works miracles. Almost stripped my brake lines using the wrench you get at Discount / Autozone

grab one of these wrenchs(pic just for reference) the size is 10mm..you can get a craftsman one at sears that has a 10mm on one side and a 12mmon the other side, its a couple bucks but will save you any time you have to remove a brake line, I used it the other week at the junk yard to remove a MC and a Prop. valve, so like 8 brake lines a nice snap of the wrist and they all broke loose without a problem

If you want some brake lines for cheap i can check out the local yard(PM me if you are interested), or I'd say check one near you...Matt

if they are stripped you want to use a good vise grip and a propane torch. you are going to clap the line with the vise grips and then heat up the line with the torch. the heat will loosen up the rusty line and help you remove it. the reason for clapping it first is if the vise grip falls you don't want to be trying to stick your hand in there after you heated up the line. I have done these a lot when removing the brake lines it works great.

definitely get the brake line wrench, also use a wire brush to remove corrosion behind the fitting. the fitting spins on the line so if there is corrosion on the line it cant spin as well

flare nut wrench ftw. i would avoid using a vice grip unless abbbbbbbsolutely necessary. even after the previous owner stripped the nuts on my mc, the fnw still gripped it and took it off fairly easy. now i won't touch any brake line without one. good luck
