Default CAI Question

I want to replace my stock intake with a CAI... Ofcourse... and was just curious if I should go all out and spend 250+ for a good name brand one or build my own like I've seen on team-integra or possible buy a ebay intake for like 30 bucks and slap an awesome filter on it. oh and BTW I already have a AEM bypass valve sitting in my room.

So what would you guys suggest? Would Ebay be to risky? DIY, I got all the tools just need the piping, or be cool and have a AEM or Injen CAI!!!!!!!

3 inch piping, bpi stack, and a k&n filter and your set forever. atleast, until you boost.

cai's only make 1 maybe 2 more horsepower then a short ram. and with a short ram you wont have to worry about suckin up water if you drive thru a puddle. plus those bypass vavles are POS and dont work. save your self some cash and jus get a short ram

The only reason to spend money on a very expensive one, is if you need CARB stickers for smog. Otherwise, (with a few exceptions) a tube is a tube and the filter probably matters more.
