Default vtec not kicking over

Ok I have a 92 cx hatch that is already wired for vtec. I had to do a head swap another b17a head and drop it in and plug it up and i have no vtec? I checked the solenoid and it kicked over with 12volts. Should I just run the two wires to my ecu instead of messing around with it ?

Easy way always isnt the right one....I'd look more into it and see if you can find any other flaws in the system....

check to see how thick your oil is..... if its loaded with fuel the oil is to thin and low oil pressure will result in ...no vtec

i would run atleast 10w30 and check to see if your oil pressure sensor at the solenoid is reading properly

Ok the solinoed is kicking over when i run it to a 12v. Another thing is that i guess you are supposed to test it with a muiltermeter and if it is not giving 14-30 ohams then the spool solinoed is need replaced and mine is not even getting four could this be to a bad ground are is it just gone ?
