Default Question about putting in HIDs in 5th gen Accords...

Are the HID bulbs suppose to go into the low beam or high beam headlights? And what size do I order? 9004 or 9006?

well i'm assuming you mean sockets :-p

You have a couple choices, 9006 with Hi/Lo where it'd be both I believe it's HID high and halogen lo in the same bulb OR solely HID single etc.

9005 is the high beam

9006 is the driving/dipped/low beam

you can't wired up both with one set of hid, since honda put them in seperate reflector housing(unlike an older civic), most company don't even put hid in the high beam because it just stupid bright and glaring.

so yeah. 9006 into low beam should do it

I've got 3000K in my lows and 3000K in my fogs. I angled the headlights down just a bit to accommodate some of the glare...but I don't really get "high-beamed" from other drivers. I've driven by cops and CHP and they don't do anything...

Where did you get your info from?! Since when did 9006 become a dual bulb?

To the OP, if you want HID's stay at 6000k or lower, any higher k rating and you won't see crap on a rainy night. Look into Xenith on this board, I've gotten about 5 kits from him with great results. Good luck.

There's a thread in the Sponsors portion of HT where they've got a couple options, I may have been mistaken and looking at the H4's which are dual. But I was under the impressing you could get an HID setup in a 9006 socket form that has HID low and halogen High.

Yep I apologize, I had read that thread from awhile back and never looked at it since. I was thinking of the H4 Hi/Lo or the 9007 Hi/Lo

Np, I actually I thought maybe you had 9007 and 9006 mixed up as 9007 is a dual filament. Sorry if I came off aggressive, I was typing the post at work and technically should't be on lol.
