2 alternators in 3 days
get a voltmeter and check the wht/blu wire at the alternator. it should have 12 volts with the engine running. also check voltage at the battery with the engine running
i would say that means your alternator is bad. now why does the alternator keep going bad. is the battery super low? maybe there is resistance in the alt out cable and the alt is constantly overcharging. i dont know man. glad its not my car. check the battery
no power at the white/blu wire means that the regulator is sensing a problem with the alternator and is grounding the charge light causing it to light. if the regulator doesnt sense a problem it gives that wire 12v and the bulb has 12v on both sides causing it to not light.

I know obd1 alternators have the same plug as obdo, as the mounting points I believe its the same but you might have to switch the pulley I think the obd1's had 4 rib belts, some obd0' had 3 rib belts
ive had mad alternator problems in the past, check grounds, fuses, belt tension, if its the correct belt, triple check all connections... THEN if that doesnt work, drink some beers and try again tommorow
