Default Kyb or Tokico Shocks

Hi guys,

i'm going to change all shocks for my 89 hatch with :

1- Kyb shocks (Standard) 64$ for pair

2- Tokico shocks (Standard) 58$ for pair

two brands are made in Japan ..

So which is better in the ride quality as your experience ?

Thanks for help guys

depends on which struts. id say tokico blues over gr2's

and id say illumina's over the kyb agx. but the agxs are normally priced lower and are still very good

i know you didn't state koni, but just put in koni yellow, and I love them. Externally adjustable. Kind of pricey though. 450.00 for all 4 shipped. Remember to buy new dust boots, rubber bump stops, etc, for new assembly. If your shocks have alot of miles on them, they are probably no good. Don't forget new rear lower bolts, you will probably have to cut them off.
good luck, colnago

yea...the tokico's are a good OEM replacement..they're just very durable...could be long lasting..but if i had more money to spend i'd go with koni's any day...

x2 i have the same tokicoblues and my car sits as low as the coilovers go. and they are gone . but if you have a good size drop you should be fine. id say between stock and a 2" drop should be fine.

yes they are a real nice ride. I would crank them up to full stiff before installing. they will still be a nice ride they are valved different than the agx's . I think the agx's adjust comp and rebound, the koni's only adjust rebound I beleive
