Default Megan header b16 rex

i just bought and installed a megan 4-1 header for my b16 and it turns out that it blocks the dipstick. i cant put the dipstick in because one of the studs is in the way. has anyone had any problems similar to this? i had megans old style 4-1 header but it was dented on the bottom and thats why i bought a new one. But my old one cleared the dipstick openingperfectly. when i ordered it i asked them for a header that will fit a b16 and they sent me their "new style"header because they said they didnt make the old style anymore. i cant contact them until tuesday due to it being xmas so if anyone has any helpful input i would appreciate it. i might just sell these headers but i think someone else might have the same problem.

You have to have a website host your pictures like Imageshack.us and then use the image icon in the Reply [IMG][/IMG]

Bending the dip stick wont kill it and most likely wont affect the oil accuracy as well...simple use vis scripts and put a pretty bend in it

i think that the upper part that mounts to the head is thicker than the other header and that makes it stick out more.

I think thats it. The part that mounts to the head is like twice as thick as my DC.

also even if i were to bend it there is no way to get it in there at all. there is no space to fit it in.

Yeah thats gay. maybe you should go H22 so you dont have to worry about the dipstick in the header

just remove the dipstick tube and bend it more and then reinstall it, maybe bend the dipstick handle as well. shouldn't be too much of a problem.

im positive that didnt happen. i removed the crossmember and the old header came out with ease and the new one went on with ease since i already had the crossmember hacked to make room for the header. i think the problem it that the part that mounts to the head is thicker than the other header. thus blocking the dipstick tube. there is no way to bend the dipstick tube i tried and it doesnt even move.
