individual throttle bodies!!
i have a 92 h22a jdm and im interested in going all motor. i have the oppurtunity to buy a set of individual throttle body, but i dont know the significance of it and i was wondering if someone can help me understand why its recommended to have if your going all motor.whats the average power that ITBs give you?
ITB's usually wont have a significant effect on peak power vs. a manifolded setup (providing a proper style manifold was used) but the area UNDER the curve usually improves dramatically with individual throttles. The direct shot into the port that the ITB's provide can also assist in ram filling during high engine speeds, but the length of the runners need to be matched to the setup to achieve this. Throttle response is also unmatched with an ITB setup vs. Manifold.
If your going to be driving this car on the street, i would recomend some filters for each throttle, and an engine management system than can control the fuel and ignition maps purely based on TPS input (often called an ALPHA-N system).
