i'm shopping for a cams for my b16b block gsr head setup

what can i run on stock valve springs?

biggest cam with not to much risk

You maybe can use a stg 1 cam but don't risk it.

 

i ran crower stage 1's on stock valve train, no problems

 

you can run on buddyclub spec 3 cams, ur head should be fine.

 

itr cams.
I will be running itr cams on my stock gsr valvetrain with itr pistons. I willpost dyno results when its all done

 

b.c.3 exhaust cams, wont the single valve springs on the exhaust side bind?

 

i ran stage ones for quite a few thousand miles on my stock head, it saw many revs over 9k

 

many have said that they like the power from regular skunk 2 stage 2 cams but they keep the rev limit at 8000 on a stock gsr head

has anyone tried these cams on a stock gsr head ???

 

It's not the revs, but the lift from the cams that cause binding (valve float)

get some buddy club spec3 or skunk2 stage 1. Little wierd motor combo. You should instead invest in a GSR crank

i have also heard of people running stage 2s with stock valve train, i have thought about trying it myself but never have

Nah, not boom but "My car just shut off"

 

If your only turning 8k max with a 1.6l I wouldn't go any bigger than the itr cams.The gsr cams may make the best overall power unless your always driving from 6-8k all the time.
