2nd Gen B16a in my 98 LS?
is this a possible swap? im thinking it is since its still the B block...do i need any sort of mounting kit? Will the axles that come with it work for my integra? and since i want the JDM motor, how hard is it converting the wire harness since its for the RHD. Any other additional information about this swap would help as well... By the way im planning on the full swap from JDMhondaparts.com.
thanks.
thanks.
all bolts up all you need is a long block and an ecu, the rest can be reused
just remember that it will feel slower in town, then your existing setup, you might be quicker in 1/4 mile but that about it...
you may want to look at LS/VTEC it will be quicker and cheaper

Your are gonna get raped with a B16 in a heavy *** teg... keep and upgrade the LS motor if a swap was your plan.... The B16 may have impressive HP numbers, but the lack of displacement and torque will not make that puppy go anywhere. Other than that, an LSVT would do you justice.
i doubt it will be slower...right now i have an automatic LS, and the reason i want the B16a is because its half the price of a GSR motor which i really wanted, and its only 10 less hp and bolts right in. About the wiring harness, how do i fix that problem? and since its JDM, i have to switch the intake and exhaust manifolds correct? will my LS I/E manifolds work for it? thanks for your help. -Chris
ive heard so many problems with the LS/VTEC conversion, such as oil leaking, and not being able to rev past 6500 due to the fact ill have the stock B18b pistons.

yeah its 8500, my fault on that.. its because the stroke is higher and u have to replace the springs and the rings so they dont fry.

Anfter I build my new bottom end, that will be a different story.
