Good replacement for stock itr header.
my friend's bone stock 98 R (cept for his clear corners and tires)
may get a header.
he's caught the aftermarket bug, so now, he has a comptech ice box on order (as his first and maybe only, power mod so far).
he's looking for an aftermarket header to complement his intake.
what's good (show me some plots)
btw, he doesnt want to change his cat or muffler.
and also, he will be joining hondatech soon!

he doesnt want to change the cat...
so yeah, i checked out the header test...
daym, that comptech header put down that much power
also, was that off a stock R?
176whp seems a bit high for a stock r?

The Comp Tech used a stepped test pipe and a 2-1/2" cat back exhaust. Your friend shouldn't expect alot of gains if going with a USDM header and staying with the stock cat.

The stock run was with a CAI and a 2-1/4" Car Sound Cat.

Yes, the Comp Tech, like stock, is 2" as are all the USDM headers. The test pipe was 2-1/4" x 2-1/2".
