Default Good replacement for stock itr header.

my friend's bone stock 98 R (cept for his clear corners and tires)
may get a header.

he's caught the aftermarket bug, so now, he has a comptech ice box on order (as his first and maybe only, power mod so far).

he's looking for an aftermarket header to complement his intake.
what's good (show me some plots)

btw, he doesnt want to change his cat or muffler.

and also, he will be joining hondatech soon!

daym, that comptech header put down that much power

176whp seems a bit high for a stock r?

If that comptech had an 2" flange, then the USDM DC header won't be much different....

The stock run was with a CAI and a 2-1/4" Car Sound Cat.

The Comp Tech used a stepped test pipe and a 2-1/2" cat back exhaust. Your friend shouldn't expect alot of gains if going with a USDM header and staying with the stock cat.

So the Comptech had a 2" flange? I think these info should be added to the website....

Yes, the Comp Tech, like stock, is 2" as are all the USDM headers. The test pipe was 2-1/4" x 2-1/2".

So, a 2" header with good testpipe can perform as well as an JDM header?
