do you have two people? air tools? i had to change a clutch a few weks ago. with two people to line the tranny up its not too hard but may take a little wiggling.

Two people help out alot. One below the tranny and one above. Might go in easy or it might take 5 mins. Try turning the input shaft little by little. Thats all I can say. Just keep trying it'll go on.

I had the same problem once. Turned out they sent me the wrong clutch disk and it wouldn't mesh with the input shaft on the tranny. I had to pull the PP back off and try to try to slide the disk on the shaft before I was sure.

Put the tranny in gear, stick an axle in one side and have someone turn it while you try to mesh them together. Whatever you do, don't draw it up with bolts. You'll just F something up. It should slide together pretty easily or else something's wrong.

Are you 100% sure that you clutch disk is alined with the pilot bearing? I have seen people slightly knock it over somehow and make it impossible for the trans to go in.

Make sure the clutch disc is still aligned by using the clutch alignment tool-if it wasn't aligned right the 1st time or if it got moved by poking it w/the trannys input shaft when trying to line it up,it won't work-not doubting your abilities, just trying to give u the benefit of my experience(mistakes!)
