I have a 2001 Accord Coupe, 4 Cyl with Eibach prokit springs on stock shocks.

Im planning on getting wheels that measure 17 x 7.5 w/ +42 offset

I was going to get 205/50/17 tires, but it seems that those tires might be too small for a 7.5 in. wheel.

215 mm tires are a bit offsize from the OE tire, so Im planning on getting 225/45/17 tires.

My question:
Will the tires rub?
Is it a good fit for my wheels size?

perfect size thats what i runnin no rubbing at all

My OE 195/65/15 tires have a diameter of 25 inches

I believe 215/45/17 tires have a diameter of 24.6 inches
and
225/45/17 tires have a diameter of 25 inches.

Can anyone else give me some more input on wearing 225s with 17 x 7.5 wheels?

sorry for confusion but yeah 225 works great on a 5th and 6th gen

 

im runnin 215/40/17s on my 5th gen acc...no problems at alll. i think my wheels are 17x7.tire sits almost flush w/rim.

you need to know the different between mm width, ratio and inches in radius

215 or 225 will mount up but i doubt you will need 225 all around the corner, not to mention the you might rub under extreme load in the corner with 225.

 

I have 215 40 17 on mine here is a picture fits perfect.
