What color bearings to use on a b18c1 with a ls crank/forged pistons and eagle rods.
Hi, I need some help. I have a b18c1 motor with wiseco pistons, eagle rods and
a b18a1 ls crankshaft. I've been told to better use oem bearings instead of ndc or clevite. I'm running on a turbo setup around 400whp in a crx for 3 months, no problems yet, but will soon change the bearings. I've been told that for every honda engine they have a specific color bearing to use, but in my case I'm using aftermarket rods. What color should I use for the connecting rods and the main bearings?? Some help please!!
Thanks!!

you should have the crank and rod journals sized, then figure out what you need. if you dont know how to do this yourself, better leave it to a qualified engine builder.
well using honda bearing are better but not required..
and for you answer to the bearing color, they all have different ones for different cranks and rods..
if you take your oil pan off the motor and look there should be some letters there
ex
bccdc)
and then on your crank there are some number stamped on or by the main journals. ex
22323)
take those letters and nubers to the dealer and they can help you out
but remember to make sure they're in the right places or you'll have a nightmare..
and for the rods i think they're number 3's for the eagles
and on the CRANK there will be some letters.
take all those letters and number to the dealer and they can get colors for you..
or you could go with after market bearrings and measure them out with plastigauge and make sure there in spec...
good luck if at all possible take it to a shop, or find someone who can do it for you.
