Default Radio problem

Hi,
Yesterday, I sent in my Honda Accord 2000 to a mechanic to fix the alternator. As soon as he disconnected the battery, my radio reset. So, I entered the code number (given to me by the honda dealer) into the radio but it kept giving me an err message. My mechanic told me it was my problem. After ten tries your supposed to leave it for an hour. I tried again afterwards but it still didn't work. Any thoughts on what the problem could be?

Since when do honda dealers give out security codes for aftermarket radios?

Back on topic, call the dealer and verify that you have the right code for your radio.

If you've never been to the dealer, don't even try giving them a call. Chances are, your radio code isn't in their system.. Just pull out the radio and get the serial number. Take it to the dealer w/ your id and proof of ownership and they'll give you the code.. If not, be ready to fork up at least $100 to remove and install the radio..
