Headers>?
Plan to fix my tranny rather then sellmy car, not sure whats wrong with it yet. could b the 2nd gear synchro, if thats the case im going to buy A jdm B18c type R DOHC V-tech engine. not sure yet. does the type of headers i buy for this engine matter, from what i got now. b16a2? lemme kno, if there is something different n i should purchase something else for the type r lemmme know so i can sell my headers that i have now.

No they wont...the B18 block is taller than the b16 block so NO they will not bolt up. i got a question for the OP. The way I understand what your saying is that your have a B16A2 Motor with the transmission shot? why dont you just buy a new tranny instead of a whole motor? unless you have high miles on it.

the header will bolt to the head, but the oil pan clearence is the issue

Correct you are...and i suppose i should have put that in there but i figured by explaining about the difference in block height he might get that. but thanks for adding that anyhow since i seemed to have left it out

Does anyone here actually know the deck height difference between a B18C/B16B block and a B16A block?
I do. It's 9.14mm. That's it. We are talking .36" here. I know for a fact GReddy and DC Sports leaves more clearance then this on their B16A headers because we have used them on B18C's before.

Ok possible...i cant say for sure as i have never actually tried it myself. However going with the simple logic that the block heights are different one would think it would not fit or if it did it would be to close for comfort (if you know what i mean) besides that im one of those buy the right part for the right job. Do it right the first time. So if it will infact fit then i stand corrected. However one would have to agree that the fit has to be really tight.

Not really. The header moves along with the rest of the engine. So if the engine twists the header will twist right along with it.

Depends. Most aftermarket headers do not have flex pipes in them so since they are (or should be) securely fastened to the cylinder head, there should not be much movement, but the clearance I have seen from the ones posted has been more then you would think.
