No they wont...the B18 block is taller than the b16 block so NO they will not bolt up. If you bought a header for the b18 then yes it would bolt up however it would hang really low and you would have terrible ground clearance. If you buy a header for the b16 it will absolutely not fit on a B18....now if you had a B16B it would work since it uses the same block as the B18c...
...unless i am completely misunderstanding the question

Anyway, to add something of substance to this thread, check out this thread on another board. Some good info backed by dyno graphs.

Re: Headers>? (IslandSi)
i got a question for the OP. The way I understand what your saying is that your have a B16A2 Motor with the transmission shot? why dont you just buy a new tranny instead of a whole motor? unless you have high miles on it.

Correct you are...and i suppose i should have put that in there but i figured by explaining about the difference in block height he might get that. but thanks for adding that anyhow since i seemed to have left it out

Re: Headers>? (wizeguy1)
Why is this misinformation still being spread?
Does anyone here actually know the deck height difference between a B18C/B16B block and a B16A block?
I do. It's 9.14mm. That's it. We are talking .36" here. I know for a fact GReddy and DC Sports leaves more clearance then this on their B16A headers because we have used them on B18C's before.
I don't know about you guys, but I want more then ~3/8" of clearance between my header and oil pan. The system will flex more then that.

Re: Headers>? (wizeguy1)
I put my stock exhaust manifold from my B16A SWAP onto my friends stock GSR. It was extremely tight against the oil pan but it made it.

I am talking to anyone who doesn't think it is possible to put an exhaust manifold "designed for a B16A" on a B18C/B16B.

Ok possible...i cant say for sure as i have never actually tried it myself. However going with the simple logic that the block heights are different one would think it would not fit or if it did it would be to close for comfort (if you know what i mean) besides that im one of those buy the right part for the right job. Do it right the first time. So if it will infact fit then i stand corrected. However one would have to agree that the fit has to be really tight.

Now that i stand corrected...the clearance fromthe oil pan has to be minimal...enough for them to make contact under the right load?

Not really. The header moves along with the rest of the engine. So if the engine twists the header will twist right along with it.

Depends. Most aftermarket headers do not have flex pipes in them so since they are (or should be) securely fastened to the cylinder head, there should not be much movement, but the clearance I have seen from the ones posted has been more then you would think.

Unless you are running an exhaust manifold/header with a flex pipe in it and or have the brace properly installed, which a lot of headers do not have provisions for, or people are lazy.
