Default License plate lights

Last week I realized my license plate lights do not light up. It was weird because it was both of them, so initially I thought it was a fuse. So I replaced the fuse, then I replaced both of the bulbs and it still doesn't light up. Any idea on what's going on?

That's the wire that goes from the socket where you plug in the light, right?

That's the thing, it doesn't look like it's even blown.

I'll go double check now.

That fuse is not blown. I pulled it out and checked the lights, no lights came on in the car or outside, then I put it back in and the lights came on but not the license plate lights.

Pull the rear trim panel out of the hatch and check the wiring harness going to those lights. I'm not sure if there's an internal harness connection on that harness anywhere.

Yeah, when I was checking that today, I saw where the wires go into the back, I'll have to check that tomorrow sometime.

So got the lights to work today. As I was checking the wiring harness in the hatch area, the m'fer was unplugged. I have no clue on how that could be unplugged, but it was. So I plugged it in and on came the lights!

Yeah, that's what I wanna know. But next time these go out, I'll be checking that cord again.
