Default GSR and B16a

Just a quick question would the GSR valve springs and cams work with a obdo b16a head and be worth swaping? I thought i read that the springs are stiffer.

Yes, they will work.

No, it is not worth swapping unless you are doing it yourself for free.

ya its worth it, if you take the intake dual springs and swap them with your exhaust springs , which are a single spring. doing this will allow you to rev higher than stock, probably like 8700. and the gsr cams are a tad bit bigger so you might as well put the in because you will have the b16s out anyways. but like said before this is only worth it if you do it yourself. if you pay someone then you should just get upgraded valve–terrain.

this is all asstalk, the gsr cams have LESS top end then the b16a cams. revving a b16a to 8,700 is a great way to lose races to z24 cavaliers. revving to 8,700 on the gsr cams and you'll be getting pulled on by city busses

asstalk? what did i say that wasnt true? i wouldnt recomend reving stock gsr cams to 8700 either, but a set of stage 1 cams could use this spring setup and rev that high safely. y be a dick to me for answering the original question posted. you didnt even bother to answer him.

if you meant revving to 8,700 on cams that were not oe, you should have said that. the way your post was worded it makes it sound like the gsr's are more aggresive and that he should put them in and rev the **** out of his engine for no reason.

just say what you mean and mean what you say, we aren't mind readers. not harm, no foul. just try to be a bit more clear in your post, there are alot of people on here that take things they read VERY seriously.

You would rev skunk2 stage 1 cams to 8700 rpm on stock gsr valve springs? that's gutsy.
