you wont run low 14's with the auto tranny. mabyu mid 15's or 16;s. its a huge difference. manual runs high 14's with a good driver

NICE! My wife and I are contemplating the exact same setup (NBP, F1/auto tranny) for another daily driver. I'm curious as well to how the new TL-S does in 0-60, 1320 and how different the times are from 6spd manual to 5spd auto. None of the major mags have done a review or test on it.

What, you're a porter at the local Acura dealership? hahaha

Even non-Type-S 3G TL 6-speed is running mid 14's with a decently good driver.

Just test drove an automatic TL Type-S today at the dealership, and LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

In terms of power however, I was a little unimpressed with its power in comparison to a friends 2004 G35 automatic coupe. I really felt more torque and topend acceleration from the G35 compared to the Type S. The Type S was quick, but I felt the G35 still carried the edge as far as straight line performance goes.

Comfortability, technology, and gadgetry goes to the TL Type S hands down. I fell in love with everything. The voice recognition, reverse rear camera, navigation, dash, and cluster was to die for and blew the '04 G35 out of the water.

Cars on my list to shop for in 18months are the BMW 335i, Infinity G35, and Acura TL Type S. So far it appears the Acura Type S is winning my favor. The new 07 G35 should give the TL Type S a run for its money but haven't had the time to shop that and the 335i yet.

So there's my buck 99 cent review of the Type S

Where'd you get your car? I work in parts at Acura of OP so anything you need, call me, i'll hook you up.

**EDIT**

Oh boo, you got it from Duval, oh well I don't make $$ off cars being sold, I make money in parts, so call if you want a friendly hook-up.

New issue of R&T tests a TL-S 6spd against G35 sedan and IS350. Comes in 2nd overall but last among the three in 0-60: 5.7, 1/4: 14.3.

So I guess this leaves the auto around high 14's or with a bad driver, 15's?

compared to the last TL type S, the car is a pig at nearly 3700 lbs (3680 auto) versus 3558 for a auto 2003 TL type S

considering that you can get 30 hp from just adding headers to the previous TL type S, then engine output of this 3.5L is rather weak even considering new HP ratings (previous 3.2L was 258 HP corrected or 270hp non corrected). 300+hp out of this motor should be a given.......

Can I get some hook ups on parts as well. I'm restoring an ITR and I need some minor parts here and there. Let me know.
