light bulb question?
i have halo projector headlights and they say: Can change to 4200K or higher Opti-Blue hyper-white bulbs and Work with halogen Or Xenon-gas within the bulbs, Not compatible with H.I.D. lighting system. so i was wondering what kind of bulbs or what can i do to make my lights brighter?? besides buy new ones. thanks.
my halo projectors said "WARNING: NO HID KITS." I didn't really care and plugged my f1spec 6000k HID's. I've had them for about 5 months now and nothing has gone wrong. i believe that the warning sign is to indicate that the HID kit would melt the piece holding the bulb in. just giving you my experience on halos even though everyone flames them =].
i know this doesnt answer your question but just my 2 cents.

Your two main options are to replace the bulbs with some high-quality ones and to run a relay setup with them. Avoid any of the "opti-blue" or "hyper-white" bulbs.

Using a relay system is best.

Well, the bulbs will depend upon what specific type your headlights use, as some bulbs are only available in certain sizes. The Philips Vision Plus is available in quite a few applications, and would be my recommendation if it matches your required size. Check out http://autolamps-online.com for it and other choices. As for relaying the headlights, here is one website that explains it a bit: http://users.mrbean.net.au/~rover/headlamps.htm

why not?
why not?
Mainly because of the blue coating. As I said, avoid the "hyper-white" or "opti-blue" type bulbs that attempt to replicate the appearance of HID lighting.
