BRIDE short shifters... Are they crap? Suggestions from experienced current or prior owners...?
I've been shopping around for a short shifter, and I found a reasonably affordable one. It's BRIDE and it comes with a shift **** and boot in addition to the shifter ...Not sure if it's gonna be crap or not... So can someone who has had one tell me?
Yes, thats it. I've never bought anything off Ebay, so I don't know from experience... Some people have told me that most of the parts on Ebay are just plain shitty...
That shifter is just like any other generic eBay short shifter.
The **** is basically a generic ITR ****.
The boot is most likely low-grade suede material w/ a Bride logo embroided on.
Only thing Id be afraid of is having the shifter break where the thread is. Happened to a friend of mine with a cheap APC shifter.

You can get authentic parts on ebay, but a lot aren't. Watch out for words such as "style" or "like" because htese are used to help fake products meet your search criteria. Also know where you're willing to accept fake parts. I'm a lot more careful about funtional items (motor, suspension, brakes, etc.) than I am about cosmetic items like shift ***** and boots. For your short shifter, buy from a reputable seller. You shouldn't have to spend a lot of money, but you also won't worry about bad mettalurgy or broken shifters.
