hey guys i have a 98 gsr and i am getting a modified dart longblock. i wanted to no what else will be needed so that i can put it in my car. thanks

 

either put all new internals and upgrades or use your stock stuff but get a NEW engine gasket kit and NEW piston rings...Depending on the bore you may need new pistons..
Also get all NEW bearing might as well get it done now and not have to pay later..DART blocks arent cheap i wouldnt go cheap about the build at all.

 

A "long block" is a complete rotating assembly with block, crank, pistons, rods, cylinder head, cams, etc. Dart does not sell a long block to my knowledge, just a bare block. thus, you'll have to reuse all your old stuff (waste of a dart block). Might I suggest just sleeving your stock block and spending the money on other stuff.....like pistons, rods, etc.

 

new OEM rod bearings, arp rod bolts, arp head studs, piston rings, seals, rear main seal, oil pump, water pump, head gasket, etc. <--- block


go with arp because you can always reuse them for a future rebuilt.
