Default Will the OEM navi ever be available for installation?

I guess I was pretty hasty...seeing as how I got my SI Sedan the day after they made them available for sale, and now I kind of wish I had gotten one with a navi. I didn't want to spend the extra on the navi model but now I want a navi anyway. I really don't want this huge thing suction cupped to my windshield though.
I asked the dealer if I could get an OEM navi installed and he said probably not because of something about how it functions with the factory speakers but he didn't really know much more thant hat.

So, would installing an OEM navi be possible/ever be an option? If not, can anybody explain more on what he was trying to explain?

I tried searching for an aftermarket one that would fit the civics perfectly(in the console) but no luck.

Omg! Dealer told me I couldn't. Did you write up somewhere how you went about that? Because I couldn't find anything in search.

Dealers are retarded
(except for Tre's and my local friends ) lol
We didn't do any write up.

However alot of parts are needed etc etc
brand new from honda all the parts were almost 3500

and when i bring it in for service they can't even tell the difference
on the exterior its the only NAVI model withou the XM "bump" on the roof

Ouch, 3500. Looks like you had a lot to do as well, and I'd probably be afraid to screw up my car on account of not knowing what I'm doing. Really wish they would come out with some kind of kit for that(or an aftermarket one like I said in topic post).

Well the reason we did it were a few things

1. Because everyone said it couldn't be done
2. Because NOW the car is not financed with it and i'm not paying interest on the OEM NAVI
3. When the car goes up for sale i can sell it as a PLUG AND PLAY unit for a NON NAVI CIVIC
4. Markup on NAVI si's in january was 5k, my non navi fiji = sticker

Ugh your pictures make me want the OEM one even more. Guess I have to wait and see if an aftermarket one comes out or maybe if I have some extra money to try out what you did. If anybody else has any suggestions feel free to advertise them to me as much as you want.

Blah, nice install, clean... and on the navi units, there are a bunch out... personally my drivers seat looks like a cockpit right now, it has a portable gps, radar detector, a-pillar guages, control unit for lights near the change bin, and the in dash dvd player, good ol' 7'' wide screen....

I might give it a bath too.... but yeah I'm a post pics of the inside, the install of the dvd player/ amp/subs.... and then a final product.
