probably the same only thing that might be different is the bore even then a slightly biger one wont help much. but if you use the y8 one you gota extend your map wireing to reach it.

-map sensor on the throttle body
-55mm vs. 56mm if i remember right.

You have it so you might as well. It's probably not going to be a noticeable difference but you get a sensor off the firewall and a slightly larger throttle body.

can anyone verify this? i would like to not have to really swap them out if i dont have to. i am not worried about a 1 mm bore difference or getting a wire off the fire wall. i have given up on trying to make my engine bay look pretty. thanks

As far as I know an A6 TB will not fit on an intake mani off anything 92+

I'm pretty sure the same. I know my a6 throttle body wouldn't fit my y8 mani and vice versa. I forgot about that in my above post.

Correct, the D16A6 throttle body will not fit on any other intake manifold other than it's own and the D16A1 one.

Doesn't the y8 tb use a b-series bolt pattern? As in if you have the y8 manifold, you could put on a LS tb.

Ok, here's the deal.

88-91 D-Series = The odd flange out, largest TB = 55mm
90-01 B-Series = The good Flange
92-00 D-Series = The Good Flange, largest TB= 56mm
H-Series + F-Series = The good Flange.
