1998 Accord V6 alarm goes off randomly...
As the topic states...
Mostly during the middle of the night. Cannot figure out what would cause this. It's the factory alarm, the horn just starts honking in the middle of the night.
I have searched, but with no luck.
I have also done research and I have read that it could happen if there is an aftermarket deck...there is not, but there is an amp. Also could be a faulty hood pin...how would I check?
I just want to get an idea of what it could be and where I could start looking.
Thanks in advance gentlemen.

Some times it won't go off for months, then it'll go off two nights in a row, so how would I be able to tell by taking the stuff out on a hunch? But thanks.
The hood pin is a stock feature.

sounds like a lose wire sending the wrong signal..
cheak for bad wiring at
Inside all door locking system, near the hood lock(sends a signal when its open),the truck latch.
