Default Offset question

Hey,

So I'm looking for a nice pair of 17" white rims for my 97 Civic Si..

I was wondering if anyone here can tell me what Offset would have my wheels sitting even with my fenders. Or where I could find it out.

White stock rims seem hard to find and im not lookin for crazy high end $350 a piece rims.

I was lookin at these: http://www.wheelmax.com/product.asp?ProdId=1383

Anyways any help/opinions would be sweet. thanks.

17x7 with a 38mm offset should be pretty flush with fender. 42mm to 45mm will tuck under fender really good if lowered a lot

42-45mm work best on a 7" wide rim.

Look at a diagram showing how positive offset (which our wheels have) is measured:

You can see from the left part of this diagram (labeled "positive offset") that the distance that the wheel sticks out from the mounting surface of the hub is half the width of the wheel, minus the amount of the offset. So it's easy enough to calculate how much the stock wheels stick out from the hub, and how much any other wheel you're considering would stick out from the hub. (And you can tell from this calculation that how much they stick out depends on the width of the wheel as well as its offset.)

No, there isn't. Not for the purpose of answering the original poster's question, there isn't.
