Default clean rims

what do you guys use to clean your rims. i have 94-95 ex (7 spoke) alloy wheels. need to make them shine and clean. what you guys suggest for me to use?

I usually just wash them with a rag and soapy water then wax them when they dry

so if my rims are powder coated or clear coated, will i be better off polishing the rims or waxing it? also what brand is best?

come out real clean... then prolly a wax would be good..

I just use Ajax dish washing soap and rags/sponge. Ajax works great because it cuts right through the brake dust. Also it's cheap.

When my wheels are really dirty, I use 3M professional wheel cleaner, and then I hand clean them with soapy water.
