Default blox camshafts

i cant afford the whole type r head. I started looking at blox camshafts. They say that there camshafts make more power than ITR and CTR camshafts. does anyone have good info the on performance of the blox camshafts.

if you dont have the bottom end compression for the cams you will overcam the motor and not make any power remember that...not sure of the specs of the cams youre looking at, but might want to investigate that before you buy

tru , but i think that the b18c1 has good enough compression for that . im lookin at the block type A cams. They say its ok to use it with the same valve train (oem). I just want a decent build till i can save enough for the type r head.(since there other stuff i wanna do ) ya no. Right now all i got is a stock motor with a vtech controller , maybe get hondata or chrome wit the camshafts.

Blox Type A's are comparable to the CTR/ITR cams...maybe a little bit better. Just don't expect a day and night difference. You should be able to find a set of used ctr/itr cams in the classifieds for pretty cheap now a days.

i got some blox type A's on my gsr and it pulls like a **** at high rpm but it's still slow at lower rpms. i'll probably take it to the dyno onces the holidays are over and i have more free time.

i was about to just buy the ctr intake camshaft but i found the blox on ebay for super cheap. overall i am glad that i got the blox.

if you are set on saving for a itr head then don't get the camshafts for the gsr. are you going to build the gsr block? just get some nice bolt-ons that you can reuse when you get the itr head.

word. thats where i some them 2 on ebay. on the blox site they dont advertise there spec or nothing thats why i wuz curious. Did you use the stock cam gears. So it still feels like a stock gsr at the lower rpms? Right now i could buy the itr head but id rather use that money for something else( paint job i got 3 different colours on my gsr rite now lol) Most of my mods have been bolt and engine management on. This is gonna be my first like internal change. How else could i help to get that mid range power?

i got skunk2 cam gears but it's still set at 0 for now until i take it on the dyno. the car feels alittle more responsive than stock at lower-midrange rpm. have you though about turbo or supercharging?

both blox and skunk2 products are good.
