You need to tell us what X member you are using what mounts what motor and what header.

not sure, but its only resting ontop of the fan cover on the driver side, the metal fan one. Im not sure how to fix this, but it makes nasty metal scrape noises and makes my ears hurt

Can you get a pic, if it's doing what I think it is you might be able to fix it easily, I just don't want to shout an idea that might not work.

i have this problem, especially with Megan headers. the flanges on those are pretty thick. making it a tight fit . it's viberating on the fan metal shroud. the only way to get full clearance is to remove it. i haven't yet . but it does get annoying.

no its a DC, you guys are jsut used to seeing those with that **** grey ceramic coating. back in 96 when DC was the only header you could buy, people had these more often.

Junk the AC fan
or be wise and use 2 slim fans $30 each at most they will also flow more air
and give plenty clearance...and best of all junk the 2 oem fans...
As far as I know DC always has there Tag on the header, as you can see in the pic above DC has the welded on Tag on cyl 2... does look like a shiney megan tho...

yes the fan that is in your way (driver side) is for AC...plain and simple if you don't have AC junk it haha...no need for it weighing you down...might as well cut your AC belt if your not using it if it's hooked or just simply yank the AC unit out...
and no that's not a DC header 99.9% guarantee, has no tag on cyl 2 it's not a DC...no shoes, no shirt, no dice...

Where are you buying slim fans for $30??
I paid like $75 for my flex-a-lite slim fan, and that was the cheapest I found it.
Oh, and yeah, that's not a DC header. I had a DC header on my EF with AC and there was plenty of clearance between the header and the AC fan.
