Basic question about lowering.
alright its about that time i lower my car, I have an FG1R18A1. What are your opinions on best springs that will lower it the most but still give it a decent if not smooth ride. Ive been thinkn the Tien S techs. but i wanna know if thats good enough, please help!
People say Tein is squeeky. A lot of people use Eibach though, check them out perhaps. It also depends on if you are going full on struts/shocks and springs, or just springs. Check out the HFP kit available by honda as well, lowers about an inch and loses no comfort.
i hear something about i have to get a camber kit or my axle will bend of something... idk, im pretty ignorant when it comes to lowering... is there a lowering kit where it comes with full on "struts/shocks and springs?" what about coilovers?
Sadly I don't know anything about lowering either, but you might consider checking this topic out:

Its an install/review of HFP suspension, seems pretty informative.

I heard that chamber kits are highly recommended. Not sure about everything else.

I have the Eibach pro kit. 1in. drop and no noticeable alignment change. Car doesn't pull, drift. And steer ahead is still dead on. Rides just like stock

Base struts or HFP's? I have the HFP suspension and was thinking about throwing some Progress springs on them.

Im going with a full H&R coil over as soon as I can get my hands on it they also have just springs that are made to work with your stock running gear. As stated above Eibach's pro kit is usally unde 350 installed and is manufactured to work with your stock struts and shocks.
hey guys a question , since i lowerd my car (eibach pro kit 1'' drop) is it better to put a diffrent brand shocks /struts? and what are sway bars? i want better handling or confort... i got 18's 225/40/18 zr profile
IMO on MacPherson Strut suspensions the Tein S-Tech lowers the car too much putting it into a positive camber curve. Also, when you lower a strut suspension you need to bump up your spring rates significantly to prevent hitting the bump stops. Impreza owners have long thought of S-Techs as junk because of what they do to strut suspension.

S-techs are definantly good... make sure you get the REAL ones tho, tons of fakes being passed off as the real thing latley. the HFP struts are really only designed for a one inch drop, anything lower would probably blow them out ... maybe not as quickly as the OEM ones but youre better off getting some dampers that are designed to handle a shorter spring.
