Default EK9 dash, cluster, etc into an EG hatch?

Hi all

I dont post much so sorry if this is in the wrong section, but ive done a heck of alot of searching and so far turned up very little.

I own a 1991 Civic EG3 Dx (D13B2 engine as std) hatch (RHD as im from the uk) with a B16B, 5 stud hubs with nsx calipers etc etc.. done pritty much all the work myself (except the engine loom)

Ive been looking to try and find out if anyone has attempted to fit an EK dash into an EG before? I would love to fit an EK9 dash into my eg, and ive found a 99 spec EK9 full dash with cluster, switches etc for a good price but before i go splashing out i wondered if anyone had even tryed it? and what they had found out?

I know ITR dashes going into EG's with some "modification", and ive also found a guy on here whos fitted an ITR dash into an EK9 with alot more modification, but i cant find any info on an ek9 dash into an eg.

So any help or advice would be great

thanks and hope everyone on H-T has a great holidays!

well if you go EK9, you'll need to do a RHD conversion

Just try it. Be the first. I'm sure it wouldn't too much work to make it fit, MAKE it happen.

I have a junked EG that had an EJ (for you number *****) cluster in it. They cut the harness connectors and installed EJ connectors on the ends, then took the front of the EG cluster and mated it to the rear of the EJ cluster. It looked good, you couldn't even really tell till you pulled it apart.

It took a fairish amount of trimming on the EJ cluster to make the two mate up but, it bolted into the factory position on the dash.

I would have never done it myself not just for a cluster.

I took the instruments which were from an 00 SI and installed them in my DX cluster. Now I have an SI cluster in my DX hatch.
