after long hesitation.... I came to the conclusion of getting a swap instead of scrapping my ef sedan...... I saw a member of ef sedan quad rolling down the road... and It made me want ot be a part of it... I love that little 4dr.... I have $1,000... what site would you recomment o get a complete swap from... Im either looking into a dohc zc or a good d16a6... I wont have to switch to mpfi considering it already is mpfi... alright so basically I need to know if I get the dohc zc... what else do I need besides a new ecu... I know motor mounts are the same.... wiring is basically identical... so just ecu... how much am I looking at fully done.... Ive seen sites where the engine and tranny etc are like $550 plus shipping.... is there anything I am missing... I believe its just plug and play... what ecu should I run... respond asap please need this motor In quick my dd is dead
it is a plug and play but i belive you are going to need a PM7 Ecu wich will run you about 125-175 but 550 for the motor and trans is good make sure you have enough money saved away for insurance abuddie of mine beaught a DOHC ZC and when we started it his timeing belt snaped so beready for that and i think thats it
(some correct me if i am wrong about the ecu)

if you can get a DOHC ZC for 550 get that ****! Plus like 150 for the PM7 FAWK Yea, you should always save sum extra Muula Just in case cuz ya never know what could happen when you go to swap an engine.

This is a maintenance item, would you use the oil that came in the motor too? replace timing belt/WP/tensioner. valve cover gaskets, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, clutch, throw out bearing, flywheel, exhaust manifold gasket, fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve, oil filter+oil, trans oil, axles, if you dont replace before the motor goes in you will be kicking yourself later when it will be much harder to change this stuff will run at least $300-$400 easy. so make a strict budget and plan everything out, make sure you have all the parts ready before the motor comes
I think you can chip your ecu with a pm7 program, its much cheaper than buying the ecu. like $75 to chip your stock pm6 with the pm7 program

alright well I think Im gonna get my swap from hmotorsonline.... ... seems pretty legit... what do you guys think though sohc zc or dohc zc.... is the extra $150 worth the extra like 9 hp... Im not looking for a lot of gain just reliability.. Im just gonna be putting on a cold air intake, headers iriduim plugs and wires.... basic bolt ons.. so Im just looking for like 150hp Id settle for like 140 even.. juust need to get my car up and running again... anyone... have an idea how much shipping would be to so cal..... doesnt say\... and yea Ill be having like $400 as insurance money... hopefuly it will just go in like nothing though.. I need some lowering springs.... and strut bars
personaly i would go with single i have know a bunch of people who have had one its one damn reliable motor
and about shiping i dont know i pretty some one around here dose though good luck be sure to post pics of your swap when you get your stuff in

I was like what.... hes like yea you need different axles... I Didnt know it had an intermediate axle and it needed da axles... so zc 5 speed tranny. sohc zc. and da axles .. all in all total was $750....... he said the engine had 40,*** miles...
