A PR3 (B16A) head would probably be the cheapest to pickup. It really wouldn't hurt to get it tuned while it's still N/A, however, if you are on a budget, then save your money for when you are turbocharged.

i like the gsr's intake manifold but just get a b16 head ,like you know they're everywhere and usually not expensive.

a stock pr3 ecu would run the motor decent,,alittle lean cause of the 1.8 litre but nothing to cry..then when you go turbo you can use BRE with the pr3

actually, all vtec heads are hard to find right now.

there are only 2 choices. and really there is only one choice, which is any vtec head you can find complete for under 500 bucks.

there are obd1 pr3's, but they're pretty uncommon...What ecu do you have now, the obd1 pr4 ls? if you get the gsr head you can get the p72 and have it runnin damn near perfect except for throwing a code for the knock sensor... maybe just have the ecu you have now chipped with crome ,,so this way when you go turbo you already have a socketed ecu atleast.

Most vtec heads are about the same. ITR is slightly more ported and all that buisness but its not really worth the extra 300 or so dollars you would need to spend to get it.

You said you converted to obd1? So if you used the rywire harness then that means you have obd0 plugs in your engine bay. So your best bet is to get a pr3 obd0 head. Although obd0-1-2 heads arent a whole lot different. The intake manifold is a little different but most of the plugs are the same. For less of a headache go for obd0 pr3. More common and pretty much the same as all the rest of the vtec heads.

no, im saying you just have the obd1 conversion harness that goes inbetween the obd0 ecu plug in and the ecu. The harness just makes you be able to use the obd1 ecu. But you still have the stock obd0 plugs in your engine bay. Which means it would be easier for you to stay with obd0 stuff because those are the plugs you have.
