I'm looking for door pins and I was told at the local honda dealer that they don't sell the pins. He said they sell hinges and they probably come with pins, but its not shown in the diagram. Anybody know where I could find some pins for the door? I need the pin that uses the e-clip for the hinge, not the pin for the door checker. TIA
so your door doesn't fling itself open on a slightly tilted surface and smack the bushes next to you in your apartment complex?
i need one too, then.

lol, actually...I switched doors because mine were pretty beat up and I got a good deal on a clean set. The HINGE pin--theres one at the top and the bottom of the door and it holds the door onto the car--not the door checker(keeps door from slamming open).
It's hard to explain, but I need this pin. The door checker( which your talking about stdclayton) is on majestic honda, but the piece im looking for isnt.

there's a start....does that mean the pins are all the same for 88-91 or like a lot of stuff are they all the same for something like 88-00 for instance.

Yeh, I kinda gathered that from going to the honda dealer, but the service rep said he couldnt tell whether they came with pins or not, but figured they did. Thanks for confirming that!

Just go look at similar Hondas at the junker...you'll be suprised how many parts are compatible.
To give you an idea...when my corner light ripped off on the highway (last CRX was hit and the corner light always has a problem), I had to find a harness for the corner light. Went to the junker and just started comparing...come to find out I used one from an Accord (I think 94), and it was the same. Maybe not much help for you, but just giving you frame of reference. I wouldn't think they would be too different.

i'm gonna say that the ones on the ek are the same as an ef.
i did not measure with a micrometer but i just looked in my driveway and they both look the same.
however i have one, you can have if you pay shipping.
now i'm not sure where it is and i won't be able to look till after christmas, but if you still need one on the 27th let me know and i'll send you one.
do you need the c clip also?
i'm not sure if i have one of them, but it might be on the pin still

well I would actually like to get 4 if im getting new. Mine were all in rough shape when i took them out, but i think i could smooth a few of them up with the bench grinder or something. I know I had a bitch getting a few out and they either mushroomed or bent. I'm gonna try making my way to the junkyard sometime to find some pins and ill go from there.
