Is it alright to use the GM Synchromesh in my Si Transmission?

Yes that's all i've used in my honda trannies or my GMs for that matter.

I've ran synchormesh in my Std, HF, and Si tranny.

All work great and have had no problems. It's a commonly used practice on old trannies.

true comparing the fact a honda tranny will be ok with some 75 cent wal mart 10-30 motor oil in it.

will it reduce my hard shifting (into 1st and 2nd)?

and how much does it top over 10w30? ratings wise...

Not the threadjack, but Synchromesh will reduce the mechanical feeling in the shifter between gears, correct? I may have to try some of this at my next transmission oil change...

when i put it in my 3 gear tranny grind was gone shifts smother fells alot better then before.

And honda fluid isn't?


I run synchromesh in the honda and royal purple in the supra...why expletive around with cheap fluids?

i was google-ling around and found out there are 2 types of this fluid the regular and friction modifier, does it matter which one i buy?

get friction modified. i believe the modifier is suppose to be used with regular oil to turn it into syncro mesh so to speak

picked up ACDelco Synchromesh Transmission Fluid, is it the same stuff? the guy at the counter said so... part #89021808
