OK dude, it's tomorrow...

When you replaced the pump, you got air in the system since you had to drain at least part of it. That air gets churned up & takes awhile to settle. Same thing if you drain & fill fresh fluid. After the bubbles settle in the reservoir, refill & run. It gets less foamy each time.

It's best if you have enough time to just run it for a minute, then let it settle for an hour, & repeat several times.

you got a leak on the suction side of the pump or your fluid is low. sinc e you stated it was at proper level, I am going with leak on suction side of system.

Yes you should turn the car lock to lock several times to ensure all the air is out o the system and top off as needed over the next few days. if you are still adding fluid after that, you got a leak.

But it still foams. (At least it did for me on '95 Integra & '98 Accord)

Bleeding the system should help, the bubbles are caused by trapped air - did you not read the thread?

I just finishing replacing my PS fluid two days ago. I got the foaming issue too. I checked the archives and followed the advice of JimBlake and simply just let the air/foam settle out. It did. His post made the most sense. Other posters/postees could not articulate/communicate as well, and their answers needlessly just complicated the matter. I also turned the steering wheel lock to lock with the car in the air [much easier].
