Default Would this be the chute for me?

okay well i decided to go the whole 10yrds and get a chute done to my hatch.

I've searched and saw some pretty sick setups.. what i also read is that"too high is bad and lower is better". Not to sure about this but looking for some good advice with some ppl who have used chutes!

i called up stroud and they advised me that the 420model would best suit me! If anybody begs to differ plz give your opinion and advice on which 1 you recommend!
Thanks,
Andre

The opposite is true. Too low makes the chute lift up on the rear of the car, which is the last thing you want!

thanks! Tony.... so what your saying is that once the chute comes out, the air will cause the chute come up making the rear end lift?

sounds right! any more advice!

I seen a few hatch's with chute mounts but any new 1's that i can get some ideas from...

The tag line is going to come from the middle of the chute. Lets say for instance that the chute was 6' in diameter and rode right above the ground fully open. The pickup would need to be 3' off the ground for it to pull in a straight line. Any lower than that and the chute will be pulling the rear of the car up. The lower the pickup, the worse it'll pull up.

i believe stroud makes a special one for fwd's they are alittle longer then the std ones, so it wont have the effect of bulldosing the nose into the ground when deployed.

called them up(stroud) told them what i was running and the type of class and the had recommended the 420 model!

they didnt say anything about a new model for fwd though....

its already too late i purchased the jerry bickel chute cable kit with the stroud 420 so I will see later on next year how it holds up!

Thanks for the advice everyone I appreciate it.
