Default EK 97 hatch GSR swap

i posted this in the hybriid section as well just in case . hey guys i need some help i have a JDM GSR or whatever it is called in japan (SiR-g i think) anyways that is not the point of this post. my question is this: can i buy a OBD2 GSR wire harness and plug and play with my car basically. now iam not refering to the ECU just the engine wire harness. i appriciate all the help thanks...

no you cant. the gsr wirring harness is like a 92-95 civic. it will not work. probly the easiest thing to do is get a usdm b16 harness wire the second intake sensor and than get a obd1 to obd2 conversion harness. your civic wirring harness is one peice the gsr is 2.

ya u can use a b16 harness or just use ur stock d series harness and modify that for the gsr

Correct, OR he can also get a US GSR/ITR harness and it'll plug right in. Only thing. It's just depending on what year his EG & what ecu he uses whether he has to wire vtec/knock sensor through the chassis subharness.

If you use the GSR ecu, you will need to wire those from the chassis subharness (passenger shock tower) to the ECU.

he said it was a ek so that wont work
