Judging by my logs, i think i could go close to 170mph before i run out of gear on a GSR box, with a 10.5k redline. The tires grow a lot up top.

my stupid car runs the same et and mph with either gsr or ls trans somehow haha. i forget the difference in rev's crossing the line, but it was huge!
It's plain as day who is running liberty boxes and who is not. You can hear it as soon as they put it in gear in the staging lanes. I am running a 100% stock gsr box with a quaife. If you don't believe that, then buy me a liberty box and i'll pull this one apart and show you.

mmmmm alot huh? okay , ill just put that in the log book, lol
when up top it almost looks to be about 2"-2.5" in growth, but thats just my guess that would mean we could see 170+? @ 10,000rpms but i cant see crossing @ that rpm more like 9000

i know MandH has a few different roll outs, really confused me when i tried to buy a tire from one place after another only had one in stock. they were asking me the rollout, i was like, "i dont f u c k i n know, i bought THIS PART NUMBER" had to go and look at the roll out chalked on the compound surface.

i didnt say that it, seems that you couldnt get 10k out of the car/track... if calculations are pretty accurate with a 24.5 growing at 1.5",(very center of the tire when at full growth) @ 10k you should trap about 170+ but till it happens oh well. i was just fooling with gear /rpm calculators
on a stock gsr trans with a 24.5 tire with a 1.5" growth, you can trap 171 in 4th @10k now if you were to do so, you would have to be spinning the **** out of that tire + making 850+hp

My logs are showing 7-8 mph for every 500rpm in 4th gear. My best trap is 153mph at 9200rpm. Add another 1000rpm that would be add up to be 167-168mph at 10200rpm. So yes 10500rpm in 4th gear be would 170mph on the 3016.
i gave mine about 2 inches, then corner balanced the car and had to drop it about 1/2 inch or so. it now only rubs on the decel.. i know some guys ha blew there slicks up because they didnt give enough clearance, i would hate to see something happen at the top end, it would efinately hurt pretty bad, these cars are preety much tanks going 150+

When the companies mass produce tires they come in all different sizes (technically speaking). When we order tires from John at M&H he sits there and matches every tire so the circumfance of each pair of tires are the same or extremely close. even if you have 2 or the same part numbers sometimes on of the tires are bigger then the other and at hi speeds it will pull you to one direction or the other.
So when john asked you for the roll out he wasnt trying to make you feel stupid or dumb he just wanted to match right pair for you.

so are you saying that m&h's are different sizes in realation to the markings on the tires? some bigger then others? is m/t and other tire companies have the same inconsistency?

Hi GOSTWORKS: This is nothing new, slicks are hand built. The marking on the tire of the M&H, if it says 8.7/25-13 it's a 8.7/25-13, now the Cir can vary alittle.
