I recently picked up a Mallory Hyfire VI with built in multi-stage rev limiter and am looking to use the 2 step launch this coming season. Is there a way to use the 2 step while still using my nitrous system's WOT activation without having to flip the activation switch after the launch?

 

set your nitrous to kick in higher then your launch rpm?

could also use use a "master" switch for system and setup up something on the steering wheel, shift know, etc. run this in conjunction with your WOT switch

Not always going to work if you are launching your car at 8000 and only revving to 9000. I launch my car at 7000 and want the nitrous to be on above 4000.

You either activate it manually after you launch which is ok on a lower powered car, or you get a really good progressive controller that will allow automatically activate your shot after your launch. You can do it by time or rpm activation.

You can also activate it from the clutch switch. I would still use a progressive controller if you are using a big shot. It is hard on solenoids but will save your motor and driveline.

 

Activate it manually after the launch.

If your car is making big power then i would use the ecu to activate it using speed as the input.

 

have the nitrous on a clutch switch also, so when the clutch is in, no nitrous. thats how mine was setup, and worked great

 

use a timed relay or the "nitrous timer" to come in say 1/2 a second once the clutch is released and the system activated

they even have it in increments of 1/16th of a second

Yep, I was just about to say use a (digi-set) or some sort of timer.

i had a diagram from MSD that uses 2 relays, one was hooked up to the nitrous activation switch and the other to the 2 step button. Press the 2 step, it shuts off the activation switch, let go the 2 step and it turns on the activation switch...I have to find the diagram somewhere in the closet.

 

I found it easier to go without a 2 step Launch control with nitrous big shot cars. You don't have time to play games in first and second ******* with that. Big motor 150 plus nitrous is no joke when coming out the whole. Turbo cars use 2 steps and anti-lag to build bust. All motor cars us it to be consistant but its hard to play with when you run nitrous.
