were building a car for the 2007 season and will be running dominantly NDRA events. At this point we could either go T/S or Pro 4 as the title says, but im curious as to your thoughts on this. We would probably be more competitive in turbo street, but were origionaly building the car for Pro 4, and we could no go either way. I would have ot get rid of my new front mounted fuel cell for T/S but with taht exception, its up in the air. looking for some insight.

the car btw is a Db8 b series build.

 

I think it really boils down to how much money you have and if you want to win. To win or have a fighting chance in Pro4 you are going to need to run low 8's and consistent enough to beat chuck. If you want to place high 8's to low 9's and be super consisent then you will have a chance. Also to run that class you will need a hans device, fire supression system, catch pan and so on.

 

yeah but Pro 4 was so inconsistant last year. i would need to buy a haans device but other than that were good. not really sure what to expect for times, consistant low 9's is what were thinking. not really looking to come out and beat chuck right out the gate.

wasnt that car around alot longer than 03. i remember reading old turbo magazine's and there was a 4 door refered to as "smoke dog" i thought these 2 cars were one in the same....

so any other opinions? time comparison vs turnout? i would like to stay with the plan of building for pro 4, turbo street is always full, and i would liek to add to pro 4, but if im going to be deimated on a consitant basis its not going to be worth it. Torn people, Torn. lol.

why did you take your car from NC to CT for a cage + fuel cell? im sure there is somewhere alot closer to you that could have done the job? im not tryin to **** on you, just wondering why you would do all that driving.. what is it like a 10-12hr drive ?

well, a frind of mine got me a few sponsorships for the motor build and mike at MPH is a good frind of mine. So when i talked about doing a cage he hooked me up big time and does work i trust. Cant put a price tag on good work.

deffinitely not a cage..... good for drinken beeers thought LOL

 

gage is the one that has my car now, he was helping me with the motor build. I sponsor all his turbo parts on his car, hence the logo in my av being the logo on his hood
