94 EX, What is the best size air whip/lead-in hose to get?
I need to install a Whip hose for my air tools. Some mfrs call it a Lead-in hose, and Goodyear calls it a Snubber hose. Assuming whoever answers this post has one, I was wondering what you think is the best length to get? They come in 12" 18" 24" 30" 36" 60" 72." Snap-on sells a 60" The main problem is with the brass npt fitting hitting the body of the vehicle, and even the 72" length would have to have the brass npt fitting taped off if you were doing a roof job of any type. Painters clip the whip to their belts.
The other problem with a long one is that when you have an in-line plastic desicant filter sooner or later it will get stepped on.
There may be other things to consider too, like if I have to use an impact up under the transmission area where things get tight, wouldn't a short whip, like one 12" present clearance problems? I wonder if that is why the most common length is the 30" size, and the mfr marketing people learned that was the best choice?

Fertilizing in the fall before the first frost is the best way to prevent crabgrass probs in the spring.
